My Networking Project

After i bought my laptop i thought of networking my laptop with my pc.so i did it.now i'm writing this post to help anyone who like to network to pcs

Things You need

• 2 Computers (2 Laptops / 2 Desktops / Desktop-Laptop)
• ADSL Router (Only if you want to Connect both pcs to internet)
• 2 Ethernet Cables(Only if you are using Router.if not 1 Ethernet Cable is enough)
• Both computer must have Windows Vista Installed(Bcoz it's vry easy than Windows XP)

How we do it

Networking Part

1. Connect the Ethernet Cables to the Ethernet Port to the PC
2. Connect the Ethernet Cables to the Router
3. Goto Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center
   
4. then you will see a section called "Sharing and Discovery"
5. in this section you have to enable "Network Discover" and "File Sharing"
6. Follow the steps from 3 to 5 in both pcs
7. Now the Networking Part is Done :D

Sharing Part

1. Create a new folder and rename it as Shared (Or what ever you want :) )
2. Go to the Properties of the folder
3. Select the Sharing Tab->Advanced Sharing
4. Click on the Check box to enable the "Share this folder"
5. Click the Permissions Button in the lower part of the dialog box
6. Give all the permissions to the user "Everyone"
7. Then ok

Discovering Part

1. Click on the Network in the start menu of the other computer
2. Then you will see both computers there from Computer Names(If you want to change the Computer name  Head Here)
   
3. Click on the Other Computers Name(Where we have the shared folder)
4. Then you will see there is a folder called "Shared" (Which belongs to the first computer)
5. If you have something in the Shared Folder you can access,modify,execute them
6. Thatz all.
